Answering the universe

The word universe is metaphoric . It can represent God, gods, karma, life, gut, destiny or whatever you choose to believe in. The universe represent the divine force or the unseen or the power of luck. I choose the word ‘universe’ so that everyone can relate to it, no matter what their religious belief is or not religious. Even people who are skeptical, if you listen to them at some point,  you will hear phrases like “We are lucky”.  Simply because there are something that we cannot see and comprehend using our human mind that shaped our life.

I don’t want to be so spiritual. But considering we are the only planet in the solar system with life. How are we not a miracle? We are perfectly positioned to the sun that we don’t burn. Not too distance so we don’t turn to ice. There is a force that we don’t understand that puts us here.

If I am telling you the universe is trying to tell you something.

Would you close this tab and say lazygoing.com is a crazy website?

What if I told you I am not the only one who says something like that.

Author Paulo Coelho in his magnum opus The Alchemist wrote, “When you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it.” That ‘something’ is not money or fame or whatever material possession that you dreamed to possess. That ‘something’ is something greater that resides within everyone’s heart. It is what you always want to do, not just for a moment or tomorrow or the next month. But, it is something that you are willing to sacrifice and live on for the next 60 years of your life.

Some people call it dream.  I completely agree with them.

The late Kouji Wada said, “Dreaming is the start of everything.” And do you know that dreams are the language of God? said the old gypsy womanDream is something really bigger than who you are at your current state. Dream is when you are seeing a version of yourself that you want to be, the version that you are chasing.

Where did you get that dream? It is not when you are sleeping. It is from your heart.

When the Sufi Jalaluddin Rumi searched for God, from Christian cross to Muslims Kaaba in Mecca to the Old Jewish Synagogue to the Hindu temple of Idols, he could not find the trace of God anywhere. But, when he looked deep inside his heart, there he found God.

The old gypsy woman said, “Dreams are the language of God.”

That dream that was given to you comes from your heart not when you are asleep. Like Lawrence of the Arabia said, “All men dreams but not equally. Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds wake in the day to find that it was vanity; but the dreamers of the day are dangerous men for they may act their dream with open eyes to make it possible”. No heart has ever suffered when it goes in search of its dreams.

Now you have the dream. What do you need to do next? Answer it. Answer the dreams that the universe is trying to communicate to you. Because everyone no matter what he does, plays a central role in the history of the world. And normally he doesn’t know it.

Every person has their own role that they need to fulfill in this world. Only you and the universe knows the role that is waiting for you. That role is manifested first in your dreams and second in the omens or signs the universe gave you. In order to follow your path you need to listen to the omens that the universe gave you along the way. To realize one’s destiny is a person’s only obligation.

What happen if you don’t answer? The heart will suffer.

Remember that your dream that is dwelling inside your heart is a blessing. Every blessing ignored becomes a curse. Sufi Al-Ghazali in his book mentioned, there are circumstances in life and there are requisite responses. When you are in tribulation, the response to that is patience. When you are in a situation of blessing, you have to respond that with gratitude. If you are in the state of gratitude and you response with heedlessness, the blessing will be taken away from you. And people wonder why they are stuck in their life.

It is all journey, like Gary Vaynerchuk says, “it is a marathon, not a sprint.”

Remember that wherever your heart is, there you will find your treasure. The fear of suffering is worse than the suffering itself.

The late Steve Jobs said, “You can’t connect the dots looking forward, you can only connect them looking backward, you have to trust that somehow the dots will connect, you have to trust in ‘something’, because to believe the dots will connect down the road, will give you the confidence to follow your heart, even when it leads you to the well-worn path that will make all the differences.”

Sometimes life hits you in the head with a brick. Don’t lose faith.

“Your life is your life, go all the way”, says Charles Bukowski.

Whoever you are, or whatever it is that you do, when you really want something, it’s because that desire originated in the soul of the universe. It’s your mission on earth.
